Gandenzio Ferrari, a painter of the Milanese school, born at Valduggia in 1484, died in Milan in 1550. His principal works are illustrative of the story of creation and of the early events of Christianity, and are found in the gal-leries and churches of Lombardy. He was also a sculptor, architect, mathematician, and poet.
