Sift together 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon sugar; add 2 eggs, beaten separate, 1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons butter. 'Cream together 1 egg, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, about 1 cup milk, 2 cups flour, 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder (level), 2 tablespoons melted butter.
