Found in open woods, roadsides. Northern Canada to Georgia, west to Nebraska.

Flowers

Pink tinted, veined inside with deeper pink, bell-shaped with 5 spreading lobes, in loose clusters on the tips of the branches.

Leaves

Opposite, toothless, short-stemmed. Plant stem branching, shrubby, 1 - 4 feet high.
