3895. Camphorated Acetic Acid. Pulverize 1 ounce camphor in 1 fluid drachm rectified spirit, and dissolve in 10 fluid ounces strong acetic acid. This is fragrant and refreshing, and used as an embrocation in rheumatism and neuralgia, and as a fumigation in fever, etc..
3896. To Obtain Strong Acetic Acid from Vinegar. Expose the vinegar to the action of a freezing mixture, or place in the air in very cold weather; the water separates and becomes ice, and the strong acid remaining fluid may be drained from it. (See No. 1749 (To Strengthen Weak Vinegar).)
