Nicolo Alunno, of Foligno, an Italian painter of the 15th century, one of the masters of the Umbrian school, which was the forerunner of the Roman. His earliest known work bears the date of 1458, and his latest that of 1499. His Pieta in the cathedral of Assisi, of which only a portion remains, was regarded by Vasari as his master work. His other works are chiefly found in Perugia and Foligno.
