Aix-Les-Bains, Or Aix (Anc. Aquae Allobrogum, A. Gratianae, or A. Domitianae), a bathing place of S. E. France, in the department of Savoie, 8 m. N. of Chambery; pop. in 1866, 4,430. The waters are warm, impregnated with sulphur, and have a temperature of from 112° to 117° F. West of it is the lake of Bourget.
