While an option contract does not convey any interest or estate in the land until after an election to purchase in accordance with the terms and conditions of the option contract, nevertheless, such a contract comes within the operation of the statute of frauds. A description of the premises and the terms must be sufficiently complete to meet all the statutory requirements.16
