Not much unlike the roach: but it is longer and not so broad. The same tackle as used for the roach will take the dace. A fly for the top of the water, and a worm for the bottom. Dace are seldom found except in rapid running water, where you may make sure of him on a fine summer's evening, for he bites freely.
