1. The Caesarean section.

2. Parro-operation - a modification of Caesarean section. The child is removed by abdominal and uterine section, after hemorrhage ceases, the uterus is drawn from the cavity, and amputation at the neck, the stump being secured like the pedicle in ovariotomy, in the lower part of the wound. Drainage tubes through Douglass' cul de sack and the vagina are inserted.

3. The Muller operation. It consists in the enlargement of the abdominal incision, the turning out of the gravid uterus and the constriction of its neck prior to the removal of the child. The uterus is then incised, the child removed, the uterus amputated and the stump secured.

4. Prof. Thomas' operation - laparo-elytrotomy. This operation consists: First, in a long incision from the anterior superior spinous process of the ilium of the right side to the symphysis pubis; second, the pushing of a sound through the vagina into this incision, and the enlargement at the opening by tearing; third, the dilatation of the os uteri; fourth, the pushing of the fundus uteri to the left side, and finally, the delivery of the fetus through the incision in the abdomen.
