Zinc. Zn. For. name: German, Zink.
Pure metallic zinc reduced to powder by rubbing it in a mortar under distilled water. The purity of the metal should be first ascertained by dissolving it in dilute Sulphuric Acid and testing as directed under Zincum Sul-phuricum.
