According to Cassan1) the herb of Camphorosma monspeliaca, L. (family Chenopodiaceae), which was formerly officinal as tierba Camphorated, upon distillation with water vapor yields about 0,2 p.c. of a volatile oil. It is greenish-yellow, has an odor reminding one of bitter almonds and congeals at +4°; d17o970; nD15o 1,3724.
