Erythronium americanum. Lily Family. Apr. - May.
Found in moist woods, brooksides. New Brunswick to Florida, west to Mississippi, Minnesota and Arkansas.
Flowers
Lily-like, 6 divisions, yellow, more or less tinged with brown-purple on the outside, borne on stalk 6 - 12 inches high.
Leaves
2 from the base, green, or mottled with brown-purple.
