Color, pale yellow. A tall species, 2 to 4 feet, with erect, rather stout stem. Flowers, small, few, in terminal racemes. Pods, very long, standing out from the stem, about the size of the peduncles, not numerous, heaves, the lower much and deeply incised, with a large, middle lobe. Some of the segments are eared. Upper leaves reduced to very small, thin, linear bracts. Summer.

Roadsides and waste places. A recent immigrant, it is becoming a troublesome weed.
