Question 116. - A cheque is made out on the Dominion Bank. Winnipeg, payable to "Alex. Coming, or order." It it presented at the Merchants Bank, Portage la Prairie, and is endorsed "Alex. Camming." this being the proper way to spell the name. Would section 6-1 of the Kills of Exchange Act cover this?
Answer. - This cheque, while payable to Alex. Coming, was intended to be payable to Alex Cumming, in which case the endorsement was .sufficient under the Kills of Exchange Act.
