The simplest retouching medium is made by dissolving about half ateaspoonful of powdered resin in 1 oz. of turpentine. Add the resin a little at a time, shaking well, It will probably take about two days to dissolve, but it should be shaken occasionally. Apply with the ball of the finger, rubbing well with a circular motion until it resists. Take the supply from the top of the cork and not direct from the bottle. Avoid streakiness or the least uuevenness. Retouching medium can also be bought ready made of all dealers in photographic requisites.
