To render tracing paper more transparent dissolve 1/4oz. of gum mastic in 6 oz. of best turpentine, and apply this to the paper with a brush and hang up to dry. Or take 2 parts of Canada balsam and 3 parts of turpeutine and add a few drops of sweet oil; sponge or brush on to the paper while slightly warm, and hang up till dry.
