Cellulose is an organic product having the same composition as starch, and is a similar composition to sugar, i.e. C6H10O5- The purest cellulose is sold by chemists, etc., as cotton-wool for medical purposes; the cotton fibres, linen, wood of all kinds, papers etc., are all more or less impure forms of cellulose.
