The jobbing builder's trestle here illustrated is useful for odd jobs of repairs to eaves, gutters, windows, and other work. Two trestles, made as showu in Figs. 1 and 2, are placed in position leaning against the wall, and two or three planks are placed across so as to form a scaffolding. The trestles a re made from 16 ft. to 18 ft. in height, and if wanted higher for any special job the legs are easily lengthened by fishing on extra lengths at the bottom. They are placed with the foot farther away from the wall than the head, so that the weight of the trestles keeps them in place.
