Resin must be dissolved before it can be added to flour paste. Dissolve 1 lb. of washing soda in 1 gal. of water, then add 21b. of resin in powder and boil until the latter is dissolved. This solution may be used in place of part of the water required for making the paste. Should this not be satisfactory", dissolve the resin in turpentine and stir it into the warm paste.
