Electro-gilding solutions are made with cyanide of gold dissolved in a solution of cyanide of potassinm. Use 3 dwt. of gold cyanide in each quart of distilled water, and add just enough potassinm cyanide to dissolve the gold. Work at 150° F. with a 2-volt to 3-volt current, using a pure gold anode.
